Wren had been living on the streets since April 2024, most recently being fed by some road workers who had started to gain her trust. The incredible team at Los Amigos de Bingo set out to try and catch her - she evaded their capture for many many days, getting close enough to take treats but not to get hold of. Because she was being fed regularly, she also wouldn’t go in the trap. In the end, a kind member of the public and his sheep dog managed to corner her so that the team could catch her.
She has only been in the kennels for a short time, and after quite an ordeal and multiple attempts to catch her, she is understandably still a bit wary of humans. We have no doubt that with a bit of time, love and some good food she will start to learn to trust. But currently she will require a patient home that can go at her pace and help her make sense of the new world she’s found herself in. As a result, she’d benefit from the company of another dog, a garden and wouldn’t be suitable for city life at the moment.
Wren will be neutered and vaccinated and is tested and clear for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
