Tulip was rescued by our partner association Mastines En La Calle in November 2024
Our partners were notified about Tulip and asked if we could help, she was sadly chained to a wall and very much needed to be rescued. Things took a frightening turn when she managed to escape before they could get to her and she was attacked by a pack of dogs. It fraught time while we waited on news after she was rescued and taken to the vets, but our Tulip is a real trooper and testament to the strong & robust nature of the podencos as she has recovered beautifully from her wounds - both physical and mental. Despite this experience for her, she is a calm and relaxed little lady who has taken it all in her stride. She is enjoying spending time at Mastines En La Calle with dogs of all shapes & sizes so thankfully doesn’t seem to have any worries about other dogs.
She is confident with people, so we think she could be a good candidate for most homes with a period of adjustment like any other podenco. Tulip is a Podenco Maneto so will stay small sized, and as we always say - Maneto are small but mighty!
Tulip will be neutered, vaccinated, and tested for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
