Risto has been with our partners at GPAR since October 2024 after being seen wandering around the local town for many weeks. A kind member of the public started feeding him and GPAR managed to set up a trap to catch him.
After being at the shelter for a few weeks, Risto’s personality started to show. Whilst he was shy and nervous at first he has now become a happy little dog who loves to have cuddles and attention from the daily volunteers. Some of the volunteers bring their children along and Risto is very good with them so could be home with kids. He is great with all other dogs. He walks well on the lead with his harness and is walked near a busy road so he is used to traffic, noises and people when on the lead. He is curious when out and about and can pull a bit at times so this will need some training. He is learning basic commands in both English and Spanish.
He would suit either living in a town or the countryside and he could live with other dogs or by himself. He’s medium sized and weighs about 11kg.
Risto is neutered, vaccinated, and is tested and clear for all Mediterranean diseases. He is passported and available for adoption now.
