MORE INFORMATION ON CLARA
Clara is with our partners at GPAR, where she arrived in December 2024 with her puppy Nils. Clara is likely to have been abandoned, most likely when she was pregnant in the campo of a small village near the shelter.
Being only very young herself, Clara is fantastic with the other dogs in her area of the shelter - she is playful, and enjoys interacting with them all. When the team visited the shelter in February, Clara had a particularly boisterous kennel mate who she was completely unbothered about so it was lovely to see some nice calm, neutral behaviour from her. Clara can be a little bit shy and reserved with new people at first but the podenco curiosity soon gets the better of her and she enjoys fuss & attention from the volunteers. Clara is a real gem of a pod.
Clara walks very well on her harness and is learning some basic commands (in Spanish and English!).
Clara is neutered, vaccinated, and tested for all Mediterranean diseases. She is passported and available for adoption now.
